Anatomy & Physiology (skin, face, scalp, and neck)
Skin Theory & Analysis (identifying skin types and conditions)

Course Outline

The theory portion of your course is completed online through easy-to-follow webinars, PowerPoints, and downloadable manuals. If you prefer a printed manual, you can purchase one here. This flexible learning approach ensures you’re well-prepared to focus on practical skills during training days. You’ll also complete written assessments to show your understanding.

The time it takes to complete the theory online varies, but it typically takes anywhere from 4 weeks to 3 months, depending on how many hours you dedicate each day.

Your practical training will take place at the nearest centre, with locations across the UK & Ireland, making it easy to attend. We want you to finish feeling confident and competent, so we don’t limit the number of practical days. For Level 2, the minimum is two days, but if you need more practice, you can book extra sessions at no additional charge!

Practical Training Schedule:

9:15am: Arrival for a 9:30am start
9:30am – 11am: Review of theory
11am – 1pm: Practice consultations and treatments on each other
1pm onwards: Models come in for case study completion
4:30pm – 5pm: Finish

This structure ensures you get hands-on experience and the support you need to succeed.

With Level 2 Facial Skincare you have 4 written assignments and two MCQ theory exams

Written assessments must be submitted and passed as competent before attending your final assessment day.

Theory MCQ exam will be completed on exam day

Exam/Assessment Day:

9:15am: Arrival
9:30am – 12:30pm: Practical Exam
12:30pm – 2:30pm: Theory Exam
2:00pm – 4:00pm: Feedback & Certificates

Once you pass your practical assessment, we’ll submit your results to VTCT to claim your certificate.

Course Structure

Course Duration:

6 weeks to 3 months for online theory (depending on your study pace)
2 days of practical training at our centre (additional days available at no extra cost if needed)
1 day for the exam

The Level 2 Facial Skincare Course offers a blend of home study and practical training, making it ideal for those balancing learning with other commitments. The majority of the qualification is completed through self-paced online study, allowing you to master the theory before attending practical training days.

How Training Works:

Home Study – Complete your theory with structured online learning.
Practical Training – Hands-on sessions run from 10 AM – 4 PM (arrive by 9:45 AM for a prompt start).
Skill Development – Learn, practice, and refine advanced facial electrical techniques with expert guidance.
Assessment Process – Demonstrate your knowledge through practical assessments, oral questions, written tests, and coursework.

All coursework, written assignments, and practical evaluations will be compiled into a portfolio of evidence to confirm your competence. Upon completing your training and coursework, you’ll attend a final multiple-choice written exam and practical assessment days to achieve your qualification.

This course structure ensures you gain the expertise, confidence, and certification to perform professional facial electrical treatments that keep clients coming back.

Our courses allow you to work from home or as a mobile specialist, offering the treatments you’ve mastered. Start earning by providing treatments to paying clients as soon as you secure your insurance.

Entry Requirements

Students will require a good command of spoken and written English to complete the VTCT qualification.

Students will need to have completed a GCSE and are over the age of 16
What is included?

Manuals are downloadable from the online portal to assist you in the completion of your written coursework & in preparation for your assessments. If you would like a printed version you can purchase it from our shop here

All products and tools are provided for the training days at the centre when you attend. No kit is required to complete the training days, nor included in the course fee. Tea & coffee are provided on the training days.
What is the Qualification?

VTCT / ITEC Certification
VTCT is a Government approved Awarding Body offering National Vocational Qualifications (NVQs), Scottish Vocational Qualifications (SVQs) and other vocationally related qualifications (VRQs). VTCT has been in existence for over forty years and has been at the forefront of developing the vocational system of qualifications in the United Kingdom.

After completing the course, you will receive qualifications, recognised across the world that are fully Insurable

Our training is completely independent of all suppliers, we won’t give you sales pitch or a spiel. We will tell you the truth and the difference between all these machines.

Course Qualifications & Cost

Certification

Once you have completed all training and coursework, you will arrange to attend a practical assessment day to achieve your VTCT/CIBTAC qualification.

When you have successfully completed the course, you will receive a certificate issued by us. This not only demonstrates your commitment to the training but also allows you to obtain Public Liability insurance so you can start offering treatments to paying clients from home or mobile.

Once you have completed your assessment days you will also receive your VTCT/CIBTAC qualification certificate (this can take up to 12 weeks to be released from the awarding body VTCT/CIBTAC).
