Level 2 Facial Skincare Treatments

In this module, you’ll learn the essential techniques used in professional facials and skin care treatments:

Client consultation and skin analysis for personalized skincare plans
Facial examination to assess skin health and identify issues
How to use skincare products effectively for different skin types (dry, oily, combination, etc.)
Steaming & extraction techniques for deep cleansing and treating congested skin
Face masque selection and application for targeted skin benefits
How to perform professional face, neck & shoulder massage to enhance relaxation

Anatomy & Physiology of the head, neck, and upper torso, including skin, muscles, and bones

Course Outline

Theory will be completed at home online through our easy to study webinars, powerpoints & manuals to download. If you wish to purchase the manuals printed then you can here.

This allows you to familiarise yourself fully with the theory, allowing you to focus fully on acquiring and demonstrating your practical skills during our training days.

Written assessment papers will need to be completed and will provide further evidence of your knowledge and understanding of the subject.

Once you have submitted your written assignments you can book theory exam and your practical training.

Your practical training will be arranged at your nearest centre. We have locations around the UK & Ireland so they are within easy reach.

Each qualification Level 2 Facials & Level 3 Facial Electrics will be held on seperate practical bookings. Both qualifications require a minimum of 2 days training each.

As we want you to be confident and competent when you finish, we do not set a limit on practical days, however this is the minimum.

If you do not feel confident after or your teacher thinks you need some more practice then you can book extra days no further charge!

Pracical training layout:

9:15am arrival for 9:30am start

9:30am – 11am Going over theory

11am – 1pm – Practice consultations and treatments on each other

1pm onwards – models will be coming in for you to complete your case studies 4:30pm/5pm finish

On the second day, your day will be practicing on models from 9:30am – 4:30/5pm

You will need to attend just 1 exam day for your facialist course.

9:15am arrival

9:30am – 12:30pm Practical Exam will be complete

12:30pm.- 2:30pm Theory Exams

2pm – 4pm – Feedback & certificates

Once you complete the practical assessment and passed then we submit to VTCT/CIBTAC to claim for a certificate

Course Structure

Course Duration:

8 weeks to 4 months for online theory (depending on your study pace)
4 days of practical training at our centre (additional days available at no extra cost if needed)
1 day for the exam

The Become A facialist course offers a blend of home study and practical training, making it ideal for those balancing learning with other commitments. The majority of the qualification is completed through self-paced online study, allowing you to master the theory before attending practical training days.

How Training Works:

Home Study – Complete your theory with structured online learning.
Practical Training – Hands-on sessions run from 10 AM – 4 PM (arrive by 9:45 AM for a prompt start).
Skill Development – Learn, practice, and refine advanced facial electrical techniques with expert guidance.
Assessment Process – Demonstrate your knowledge through practical assessments, oral questions, written tests, and coursework.

All coursework, written assignments, and practical evaluations will be compiled into a portfolio of evidence to confirm your competence. Upon completing your training and coursework, you’ll attend a final multiple-choice written exam and practical assessment days to achieve your qualification.

This course structure ensures you gain the expertise, confidence, and certification to perform professional facial electrical treatments that keep clients coming back.

Career Progression

Our courses allow you to work from home or as a mobile specialist, offering the treatments you’ve mastered. Start earning by providing treatments to paying clients as soon as you secure your insurance.

Entry Requirements

Students will require a good command of spoken and written English to complete the VTCT qualification.

Students will need to have completed a GCSE and are over the age of 16

Manuals are downloadable from the online portal to assist you in the completion of your written coursework & in preparation for your assessments. If you would like a printed version you can purchase it from our shop here

All products and tools are provided for the training days at the centre when you attend. No kit is required to complete the training days, nor included in the course fee. Tea & coffee are provided on the training days.

VTCT / ITEC Certification
VTCT is a Government approved Awarding Body offering National Vocational Qualifications (NVQs), Scottish Vocational Qualifications (SVQs) and other vocationally related qualifications (VRQs). VTCT has been in existence for over forty years and has been at the forefront of developing the vocational system of qualifications in the United Kingdom.

After completing the course, you will receive qualifications, recognised across the world that are fully Insurable

Certification

Once you have completed all training and coursework, you will arrange to attend a practical assessment day to achieve your VTCT/CIBTAC qualification.

When you have successfully completed the course, you will receive a certificate issued by us. This not only demonstrates your commitment to the training but also allows you to obtain Public Liability insurance so you can start offering treatments to paying clients from home or mobile.

Once you have completed your assessment days you will also receive your VTCT/CIBTAC qualification certificate (this can take up to 12 weeks to be released from the awarding body VTCT/CIBTAC).
